First BdOSN congress held at Sundarban from 7 December – 10 December. The congress was organized with the volunteers who believe in open source software and worked to expand open source philosophy. workshop, seminar, group discussion, future plan, training session was the key term of the congress. 150 persons from different profession of teachers, students, BdOSN volunteers, freelancer and many more people took part in the congress.

BDOSN is going to organize a 3 day long workshop on “Search engine Optimization” at Chittagong from 15 th September , 2011 jointly with Independent university. The workshop will held at two shift the morning shift and the evening shift. The morning shift will held from 9 am to 2 pm am the evening shift will from 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm. The main topic of the workshop are- search engine, search engine optimization, google adsense, link indexing, social book marking forum post etc. Mr. Al Amin Choudhury best freelancer awarded by BESIS will conduct the workshop.
