Hands-on STEM Learning Workshop at Uddipan Badar Samsu Biddaniketon, Rampal

A hands-on STEM learning workshop was successfully organized at Uddipan Badar Samsu Biddaniketon in Rampal, on 11th January, 2026, aiming to introduce students to the fundamentals of science, robotics, and programming through interactive and experiential learning approaches.

This STEM activation workshop was organized by Bangladesh Open Source Networ (BdOSN) and Bangladesh Freedom Foundation (BFF) under their project titled STEM & ICT Skills for the girls of Coasatal Area. The workshop created an engaging learning environment where students actively explored scientific concepts and technological applications beyond traditional classroom methods.

The science session was highly interactive and experiment-driven. Students participated in practical demonstrations.

In the programming session, students explored block-based coding using the Scratch programming language. They learned how to create and animate characters (sprites), developing basic logic, sequencing, and creative expression through code.

The workshop concluded with an exciting drone demonstration, where students learned how drones operate and explored their practical applications in real-world scenarios. This session sparked strong interest among participants and provided exposure to emerging technologies.

Overall, the workshop at Uddipan Badar Samsu Biddaniketon successfully enhanced students’ interest in STEM education by combining theory with hands-on practice. The event contributed to building curiosity, technical skills, and confidence among students, encouraging them to pursue further learning in science and technology.
