IRO Bangladesh Open 2026 Activation Workshop Held in Kuakata Sadar

IRO Bangladesh Open 2026 Activation Workshop Held in Kuakata Sadar

The excitement of robotics reached the coastal region of Kuakata as the IRO Bangladesh Open 2026 Activation Workshop was successfully held in Kuakata Sadar on January 11, 2026, engaging 120 students from 7 different schools under Kuakata Municipality.

The workshop was designed to be highly interactive and hands-on, offering students a real taste of practical robotics. Participants were divided into teams of 4–5 members, where each team was challenged to build a soccer robot from scratch.

Under guided supervision, students worked collaboratively to assemble, wire, and program their robots—developing teamwork, problem-solving skills, and core engineering concepts throughout the process.

After completing their builds, the excitement peaked as teams competed against one another in friendly soccer robot matches.

The competition atmosphere energized the students and transformed learning into an unforgettable experience, perfectly blending fun with real-world robotics skills.

Alongside the hands-on activities, the session featured interactive Q&A segments, where students asked insightful questions about robotics, the International Robot Olympiad, and future opportunities in technology. Mentors and facilitators provided clear, motivating answers, encouraging students to explore robotics further and consider participating in national and international platforms such as the International Robot Olympiad.

The event was honored by the presence of Kuakata Municipal Administrator and Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land), Easin Sadek, who expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Bangladesh Robot Olympiad (BdRO) for organizing such an impactful initiative and for inspiring students in coastal and regional areas.

This hands on activation workshop once again reflected the strong commitment of Bangladesh Robot Olympiad (BdRO) and Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) to expanding robotics education beyond major cities and reaching young robotics enthusiasts across the country.
With enthusiastic participation and growing curiosity among students, we look forward to organizing more activation workshops, competitions, and hands-on learning programs as the journey toward IRO Bangladesh Open 2026 continues.
