On 31 January, Bangladesh Robot Olympiad (BdRO), in collaboration with Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN), organized a Soccer Robot Building Workshop at the BdOSN office in Dhanmondi, Dhaka.
The workshop provided students with hands-on learning opportunities in practical robotics. Participants gained foundational knowledge of the ESP32 microcontroller and worked on a series of small projects to understand programming, electronics, and system integration.
Following the technical sessions, students formed teams and built their own soccer robots from scratch. The event concluded with a series of lively and competitive robot football matches between the teams, creating an engaging and exciting learning environment.
The session was further enriched by the presence of several International Robot Olympiad medalists, who shared their experiences, insights, and journeys in international competitions, inspiring students to pursue robotics at a higher level.
This workshop is part of the ongoing “Road to IRO” workshop series, through which Bangladesh Robot Olympiad aims to prepare and motivate young learners across the country for the International Robot Olympiad.
The program concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, marking the successful completion of the workshop.
