Safeguarding for a better workplace

A workshop on  Safeguarding was held on 16th June at Bangladesh Education Research & Entrepreneurship Development Trust (BdERED)'s office. The theme was 'Safeguarding for a better workplace'  under the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project funded by Malala Fund in association with BdOSN. 

The workshop aims to promote awareness and provide practical insights about safeguarding practices to ensure the well-being and protection of individuals, project beneficiaries, and stakeholders.

Volunteers, mentors and staff associated with the SISGCA projects participated in the workshop. The workshop consisted of informative presentations, interactive sessions, and group discussions, allowing participants to enhance their understanding and exchange valuable insights. 

The workshop was started with a welcome note by Kaniz Fatema, Chief Executive Officer, BdOSN. Then Shajib Kumar Borman, Project Coordinator, SISGCA, briefed the project objectives and goals. An informative presentation on critical topics such as understanding safeguarding principles, identifying signs of abuse, creating safe environments, implementing effective reporting mechanisms, and collaborating with stakeholders by Shakhira Afroz, Project Lead, SISGCA. 

The workshop was finished, followed by a fruitful group discussion among 35 participants.
