STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project, funded by the MALALA Fund in association with BdOSN, conducted Mathematics-1 and Programming-1 sessions on 31 October 2023 at Ratan Sen Collegiate Girls' School, Rupsha, Khulna (Batch-2). The project aims to bridge the educational gap, particularly in science and information technology, and empower girls who face challenges in pursuing higher education due to various social reasons.
STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project, funded by the MALALA Fund in association with BdOSN, conducted Mathematics-1 and Programming-1 sessions on 30 October 2023 at Naihati Secondary Girls School in Rupsha, Khulna (Batch-2). The project aims to bridge the educational gap, particularly in science and information technology, and empower girls who face challenges in pursuing higher education due to various social reasons.
An awareness-raising session was conducted at Naihati Secondary Girls School, Rupsha, Khulna as part of the project titled "STEM & ICT Skills for Girls of Coastal Areas" (SISGCA) On November 06, 2023. The Bangladesh Open Source Network organized the event and aimed to inform parents about the project and its impact on their daughters' education. The session was attended by the school headmaster, former PTA president, Regional coordinator, school teachers, and 57 Guardian.
National level dissemination conference on "Promoting Girls' Education in Climate-Impacted Areas Across Bangladesh" on November 6, 2023, at Hotel Sheraton, Banani. The conference was jointly organized by the non-governmental development organization People's Oriented Program Implementation (POPI), Disabled Rehabilitation & Research Association, and Credit and Development Forum-CDF, with the support of Malala Fund. Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) and other partner organizations included JAAGO Foundation, Campaign for Popular Education (CAMPE), Friendship Center Bangladesh, and Friends In Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB).
On 05 September 2023, Mathematics-3 and Programming-2 sessions were conducted at Perikhali P.U.Model Secondary School, Rampal, Bagerhat under the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project funded by Malala Fund in association with BdOSN. 45 Students including 29 females and 16 Male students from classes 6 to 8 participated actively in these sessions.
On 05 September 2023, Mathematics-3 and Programming-2 sessions were conducted at Shaheed Kamel Model High School, Tala, Satkhira under the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project funded by Malala Fund in association with BdOSN. 42 Students including 28 females and 14 Male students from classes 6 to 8 participated actively in these sessions.
On 04 September 2023, Mathematics-3 and Programming-3 sessions were conducted at Naihati Secondary Girls School, Rupsha, Khulna under the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project funded by Malala Fund in association with BdOSN. 43 female students from classes 6 to 8 participated actively in these sessions.
On 04 September 2023, Mathematics-3 and Programming-3 sessions were conducted at Comrade Ratan Sen Collegiet Girls High School, Khulna under the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project funded by Malala Fund in association with BdOSN. 42 female students from classes 6 to 8 participated actively in these sessions.
On 03 September 2023, Mathematics-3 and Programming-2 sessions were conducted at Shaheed Kamel Model High School, Tala, Satkhira under the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project funded by Malala Fund in association with BdOSN. 41 Students including 21 females and 20 Male students from classes 6 to 8 participated actively in these sessions.
On 03 September 2023, Mathematics-3 and Programming-2 sessions were conducted at Shahid Ali Ahammad Govt Girls High School, Tala, Satkhira under the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project funded by Malala Fund in association with BdOSN. 40 female Students from classes 6 to 8 participated actively in these sessions.
