A project which aims to teach computer programming to high school going girls of Bangladesh.

About

Bd Girls’ Coding is a project funded by Educational Charitable Humanitarian Organization (ECHO-USA) and organized by of Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) and ECHO-BD. It helps high school going girls to learn computer programming and to prepare for national and international programming contests.

Bd Girls Coding started it's journey at November 2021. Students were first trained up through week long online programming courses and some day long programmin camps at schools. Interested student took part in contests held online. Though most of the students did not have any prior knowledge of programming, they found great interest in this.

Vision

Engaging high school girls in computer programming to make them interested in programming education in such a way that it enhances girls' skills in solving real problems and increase women's participation in future technological work.

  • Make girls interested in STEM related subjects at university stage.
